Bonds for inmates will only be accepted Monday through Friday at the Scott County Clerks office from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. After hours and weekends bonds can be paid using the touch screen kiosk machine located in the Security Center lobby. Methods of payment accepted are cash that charges $ 2.00 transaction fee and credit card or debt card that charges 10% transaction fee.

 What are bonds?

Bond are usually required by the Court to assure the appearance of a defendant. Scott County Court systems use several types of bonds such as Cash In Full, Percentage and Corporate Surety.   

Cash In Full Bond = Is the set amount that would need to be paid.

 Example: If your bond is $5,000,  $5000 would need to be paid.

Percentage Bond = Is the set percentage that would need to be paid of the bond amount.

Example: If your bond amount is $5000 @ 10%, $500.00 would need to be paid.

Corporate Surety Bond = Is when a bail bonding company is use for bonding. See list below of bail bondsman in the Scott County area.

Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Driving Under the Influence (OWI) - First offence "C" Misdemeanor ONLY
Bond: $7,500.00 (Corporate Surety) or $750.00 (10%)

Offence: Driving while Suspended Misdemeanor
Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage - Accident
Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Minor in Possession of Alcohol
Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Possession of Marijuana Under 30 Grams
Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Public Intoxication
Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Reckless Driving
Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Resisting Law Enforcement (Fleeing)
Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Unlawful Gambling
Bond: $5,000.00 (Corporate Surety) or $500.00 (10%)

Offence: Visiting a Common Nuisance
Bond: $2,500.00 (Corporate Surety) or $250.00 (10%)

BOND IN ALL OTHER OFFENSES (INCLUDING ALL FELONIES) WILL BE SET AT THE INITIAL HEARING IN COURT.
