On March 13, 2013, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office responded to 700 East State Road 356, Scottsburg, to investigate a Burglary.  Upon speaking with the homeowner, Susan Hensley, she said that she arrived home around 7:00 PM.  Hensley said that she noticed that her jewelry box was missing from her bedroom and that a crystal ring holder was missing from the bathroom.  Hensley said that she is missing some $3,500.00 worth of rings.  There wasn’t any forced entry; however, the rear sliding door was unlocked.  Deputies collected evidence and spoke with witnesses while at the scene. 

On March 14, 2013, Deputy Joe Johnson of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office noticed a vehicle disregard the stop sign at Boatman and Moonglo Road.  Deputy Johnson activated his emergency lights and siren in an attempt to get the vehicle to pull over, however, the vehicle refused to stop, continuing North on Boatman Road.  Upon reaching York Road, the driver, later identified as Christopher Campbell, lost control of the vehicle and crashed.  Campbell was taken into custody and charged with Resisting Law Enforcement.

On March 16, 2013, the Scott County Sheriff’s Officet responded to 6770 East Plymouth Road in Lexington to investigate a Burglary.  Upon speaking with Ron and Pam Thomas, they said that their out-building was broken into and several power tools were taken valued at $600.00. Deputies collected evidence and spoke with witnesses while at the scene. 

  

Scott County Jail Officers took 21 inmates to Circuit Court and 26 inmates to Superior Court.  There were 8 transports of inmates to various locations.
