Last night, March 10, 2016, The Scott County Sheriff’s Office had deputies out conducting Operation Pull Over. Deputy Joe Johnson conducted a traffic stop on a Red Pontiac G-6 for a headlight violation. Deputy Johnson made contact and identified the driver, Ricky Mullins (age 39) and a passenger, Loretta Turner (age 46).

While conducting driver’s license checks and completing citations, K-9 Deputy Shawn Mayer and his drug detecting dog, Arina, arrived on scene and assisted. Deputy Mayer had Arina conduct an exterior sniff of the vehicle. Arina indicated to the presence of a narcotic odor. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, digital scales and US currency.

Mullins and Turner were both arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.
