Scott County Sheriff's Deputy's Arrest Impaired Driver "Passed Out" Behind the Wheel...Cocaine, Heroin, Cash, and Prescription Pills Located and Subsequently Seized...Your Deputies Continue Working Hard to Keep Scott County Safe.

Scott County- On 4-27-2024 at approximately 4:22 PM, Scott County Sheriff's Deputy Steven Frey was on patrol in Scott County and was notified that a vehicle was sitting in the roadway on South Lake Road and the driver, later identified as Brandon D. Robinson, 42, of Seymour, Indiana was allegedly "passed out" behind the steering wheel.  Upon arrival, Deputy Frey located the vehicle on South Lake Road, near the intersection of Collins Road, and further observed Robinson sitting behind the steering wheel with his chin resting downward upon his chest. Deputy Frey observed the vehicle engine was running, with the transmission in drive, and Robinson's foot was on the brake. Once Deputy Frey was able to awaken Robinson, he removed him from the vehicle to make the scene safe as he conducted his assessment of Robinson. Scott County Sheriff's Office First Sergeant Johnney Coomer arrived to assist Deputy Frey, as well as Scott County EMS Personnel who performed a medical clearance assessment of Robinson. Upon conducting the roadside investigation, Deputy Frey and First Sergeant Coomer seized alleged Cocaine, Heroin, and other prescription pills from Robinson and the vehicle, along with $757.00 in cash. Deputy Frey placed Robinson under arrest and transported him to the Scott County Jail, where he remains incarcerated. Robinson was arrested for the following criminal offenses.

  •    Dealing in Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug (2 Counts)
  •    Possession of Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug (10 Grams or More)
  •    Maintaining a Common Nuisance
  •    Possession of a Schedule I, II, III, or IV Controlled Substance
  •    Possession of Paraphernalia
  •    Obstruction of Vehicular Traffic
